Ice Pic Journeys Terms and Conditions
Payment Policy
All prices are in Icelandic Krona. Products are guaranteed after full payment has been made. All refunds are made in Icelandic Krona. If the exchange rate has fluctuated between the time of purchase and when the refund is issued this might result in either an increase or decrease in the total amount refunded in your local currency.
Weather and Conditions
All our tours are dependent on weather and general conditions. Ice Journey reserves the right to alter itineraries and departure times and/ or cancel your trip without prior notice with your safety in mind. Our tours can be cancelled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions, on short notice. In such cases, a full refund is provided.
Cancellations
Ice Pic Journeys reserves the right to always keep a 10% payment fee to cover costs for the booking & rescheduling.
If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 48-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
Cancellations received less than 48 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 48 hours before departure.
If clients cancel their tour more than 48 hours before departure, a 90% refund will be given.
“No Shows” will not be refunded or rebooked.
Ice Pic Journeys reserves the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind. The tours can be cancelled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions, on short notice. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive later than 10 minutes after your tour start time you will be considered a “No Show” and will not be refunded or rebooked.
Travel Insurance
We recommend all our guests to have insurance. Each guest should buy trip or holiday cancellation insurance in addition to medical, personal and travel insurance.
Liability
The tours are undertaken at the participant’s own risk. Ice Journey holds no responsibility towards them if an accident occurs during a tour that can be traced to their own actions, actions of other participants on the tour or factors outside of human control.
Clothing
All guests should wear appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing. We reserve the right to refuse participation to customers who are dressed inappropriately or with inappropriate footwear since this will put the client’s well-being and safety at risk.
Alcohol and Drugs
We receive the right to refuse participation to guests in any activities who we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such circumstances, no refund shall be given.
Model Release
In booking and taking Ice Pic Journeys adventure tours, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
For valuable consideration received, you grant the Ice Pic Journeys team (“Photographer”) the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission concerning any photographs that he/she/they have taken or may take of me or in which you may be included with others, to use, reuse, publish, and republish the photographs in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatsoever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising, and trade, without restriction as to alteration.
You release and discharge Ice Pic Journeys from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. This authorization and release shall also inure to the benefit of the heirs, legal representatives, licensees, and assigns of the Photographer / Ice Pic Journeys team, as well as the person(s) for whom he/she took the photographs. You are a legally competent adult and have the right to contract in your own name.
You have read this document and fully understand its contents. This release shall be binding upon you and your heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.
